Part II. Joint Creditors.
Section 163.
- If there are several joint creditors, each creditor can demand performance of the joint obligation, but the prestation made as performance must be divided among the several joint creditors.

- As between the joint creditors, a joint obligation is presumed to be divided into equal shares.

Section 165.
- If the debtor is served with a writ at the suit of one of the joint creditors, he cannot perform the joint obligation to another joint creditor.
