- อันจำนองย่อมระงับสิ้นไปเพราะเหตุต่าง ๆ ซึ่งกล่าวต่อไปหนี้ คือ
- (๑) เพราะทรัพย์สินซึ่งจำนองสูญหายหมด ฤๅต้องบังคับซื้อ
- (๒) เพราะหนี้ที่ประกันระงับสิ้นไป ด้วยเหตุประการอื่นใด มิใช่เหตุอายุความ
- (๓) เพราะปลดจำนองให้แก่ผู้จำนองด้วยหนังสือเป็นสำคัญ

- A mortgage is extinguished :
