* เจ้าสำนักต้องรับผิดในการที่ทรัพย์สินของคนเดินทางหรือแขกอาศัยสูญหาย หรือบุบสลายไปอย่างใด ๆ แม้ถึงว่าความสูญหายหรือบุบสลายนั้นจะเกิดขึ้นเพราะผู้คนไปมาเข้าออก ณ โรงแรม โฮเต็ล หรือสถานที่เช่นนั้น ก็คงต้องรับผิด
* ความรับผิดนี้ ถ้าเกี่ายวด้วยเงินทองตรา ธนบัตร ตั๋วเงิน พันธนบัตร ใบหุ้น ใบหุ้นกู้ ประทวนสินค้า อัญญมณี หรือของมีค่าอื่น ๆ ไซร้ ท่านจำกัดไว้เพียงห้าร้อยบาท เว้นไว้แต่จะได้ฝากของมีค่าเช่นนี้ไว้แก่เจ้าสำนักและได้บอกราคาแห่งของนั้นชัดแจ้ง
