มาตรา 733

• ถ้าเอาทรัพย์จำนองหลุด และราคาทรัพย์สินนั้นมีประมาณต่ำกว่าจำนวนเงินที่ค้างชำระกันอยู่ก็ดี ฤๅถ้าเอาทรัพย์สินซึ่งจำนองออกขายทอดตลาดใช้หนี้ ได้เงินจำนวนสุทธิน้อยกว่าจำนวนเงินที่ค้างชำระกันอยู่นั้นก็ดี เงินยังขาดจำนวนอยู่เท่าใด ท่านว่าลูกหนี้ต้องใช้จงครบ

• If the estimated value of the property, in case of foreclosure, is, or the nett proceeds, in case of auction, are less than the amount due, the debtor of the obligation remains liable for the difference.
