มาตรา 928

• ผู้ทรงตั๋วแลกเงินอันสั่งให้ใช้เงินเมื่อสิ้นระยะเวลากำหนดอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งนับแต่ได้เห็นนั้น ต้องนำตั๋วเงินยื่นเพื่อให้รับรองภายในหกเดือนนับแต่วันที่ลงในตั๋วเงิน ฤๅภายในเวลาช้าเร็วกว่านั้นตามแต่ผู้สั่งจ่ายจะได้ระบุไว้
• ถ้าและผู้ทรงละเลยเสียไม่นำตั๋วเงินไปยื่นเพื่อรับรองภายในระยะเวลาดังกล่าวข้างบนนี้ไซร้ ท่านว่าผูัทรงตั๋วเงินย่อมเสียสิทธิของตนตามตั๋วเงินนั้น ในอันจะใล่เบี้ยเอาแก่คู่สัญญาก่อน ๆ

• [I] The holder of a bill ofexchange payable at the end of a period after sight must present it for acceptance within six months from its date, or within such shorter or langer time as specified by the drawer.
• [II] If the holder fails to present the bill for acceptance within the above mentioned period, he loses his rights under the bill against the prior parties.
