มาตรา 159

• ถ้าระยะเวลาเป็นสัปดาหะก็ดี เดือนหรือปีก็ดี ท่านให้คำนวณตามประดิทินในราชการ
• ถ้าระยะเวลามิได้กำหนดนับแต่วันต้นแห่งสัปดาหะก็ดี วันต้นแห่งเดือนหรือปีก็ดี ท่านว่าระยะเวลาย่อมสุดสิ้นลงในวันก่อนหน้าจะถึงวันแห่งสัปดาหะ เดือน หรือปีสุดท้ายอันเป็นวันตรงกับวันเริ่มระยะเวลานั้น ถ้าในระยะเวลานับเป็นเดือนหรือปีนั้นไม่มีวันตรงกันในเดือนสุดท้าย ท่านว่าวันสุดท้ายแห่งเดือนนั้นเป็นวันสุดสิ้นระยะเวลา

• [II] If the period is not computed from the beginning of a week, month or year, it ends on the day preceding that day of the last week, month or year which corresponds to that on which it began. If in a period measured in months or years there is no corresponding day in the last month, the last day of such month is the day of ending.

  • [II] When a period does not commence to run at the beginning of a week, a month, or a year, the period matures on the day preceding the day in the last week, month, or year which corresponds to the day on which it commenced to run. In case a period is fixed by months or years, if there is no corresponding day in the last month, the last day of the month is deemed to be the day of maturity.
