มาตรา 938
- ตั๋วแลกเงินจะมีผู้ค้ำประกันรับประกันการใช้เงินทั้งจำนวนฤๅแต่บางส่วนก็ได้ ซึ่งท่านเรียกว่า "อาวัล"
- อันอาวัลนั้นบุคคลภายนอกคนใดคนหนึ่งจะเปนผู้รับ ฤๅแม้คู่สัญญาแห่งตั๋วเงินนั้นฝ่ายใดฝ่ายหนึ่งจะเปนผู้รับก็ได้

- [I] Payment of a bill of exchange may be wholly or partly guaranteed by a surety called "Aval".
- [II] An Aval may be given by a third person or even by any party to the bill.
