ในการให้สิทธิชนิดที่เปนตราสารแก่กัน ถ้าไม่ส่งมอบตราสารอันนั้นให้แก่ผู้รับ และไม่บอกกล่าวให้ลูกหนี้แห่งสิทธินั้นทราบด้วยไสร้ ท่านว่าการให้ย่อมไม่สมบูรณ์

If a right represented by a written instrument is given, the gift is not complete unless such instrument is delivered to the donee and the gift is notified in writing to the debtor of the right.
