มาตรา 526

• ถ้าได้ให้ทรัพย์สินด้วยทำเอกสารต่อหน้าพนักงานผู้เปนเจ้าน่าที่แล้ว และผู้ให้ไม่ส่งมอบทรัพย์สินนั้นแก่ผู้รับไซร้ ท่านว่าผู้รับชอบที่จะเรียกให้ส่งมอบตัวทรัพย์สินฤๅราคาแทนทรัพย์สินนั้นได้ แต่ไม่ชอบที่จะเรียกค่าสินไหมทดแทนอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดด้วยอีกได้

• If a gift has been made by document executed before the proper official and the donor does not deliver to the donee the property given, the donee is entitled to claim the delivery of it or its value, but he is not entitled to any additional compensation.
