มาตรา 626

• ตราบใดของยังอยู่ในมือผู้ขนส่ง ตราบนั้นผู้ส่งฤๅ ถ้าได้ทำใบตราส่ง ผู้ทรงใบตราส่งนั้นอาจจะให้ผู้ขนส่งงดการส่งของนั้น ฤๅให้ส่งกลับคืนมา ฤๅให้จัดการแก่ของนั้นเปนอย่างอื่นประการใดก็ได้
• ในเหตุเช่นนี้ ผู้ชนส่งชอบที่จะได้รับเงินค่ารวางพาหนะส่วนแห่งระยะทางที่ได้จัดการขนส่งแล้ว กับทั้งค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นๆ ที่ต้องเสียไปเพราะเหตุที่บอกงด ฤๅเพราะส่งของหลับคืน ฤๅเพราะจัดการเปนประการอื่นนั้น

• [I] As long as the goods are in the carrier's hands, the sender or, if a consignment note has been made, the holder thereof can require the carrier to stop the transportation, to return the goods, or to make any other disposition of them.
• [II] In such case, the carrier is entitled to the freight in proportion to the transportation already performed and to all other expenses occasioned by the stoppage, return or other disposition of the goods.
