มาตรา 936
- คำรับรองเบี่ยงบ่ายนั้น ผู้ทรงตั๋วแลกเงินจะบอกปัดเสียก็ได้ และถ้าไม่ได้คำรับรองอันไม่เบี่ยงบ่าย จะถือเอาว่าตั๋วเงินนั้นเปนอันขาดความเชื่อถือรับรองก็ได้
- ถ้าผู้ทรงรับเอาคำรับรองเบี่ยงบ่าย และผู้สั่งจ่ายฤๅผู้สลักหลังมิได้ให้อำนาจแก่ผู้ทรงโดยแสดงออกชัดฤๅโดยปริยายให้รับเอาคำรับรองเบี่ยงบ่ายเช่นนั้นก็ดี ฤๅไม่ยินยอมด้วยในภายหลังก็ดี ท่านว่าผู้สั่งจ่ายฤๅผู้สลักหลังนั้น ๆ ย่อมหลุดพ้นจากความรับผิดตามตั๋วเงินนั้น แต่บทบัญญัติทั้งนี้ท่านมิให้ใช้ไปถึงการรับรองแต่บางส่วนซึ่งได้บอกกล่าวก่อนแล้วโดยชอบ
- ถ้าผู้สั่งจ่ายฤๅผู้สลักหลังตั๋วเงินรับคำบอกกล่าวการรับรองเบี่ยงบ่ายแล้วไม่โต้แย้งไปยังผู้ทรงภายในเวลาอันสมควร ท่านให้ถือว่าผู้สั่งจ่ายฤๅผู้สลักหลังนั้นเปนอันได้ยินยอมด้วยกับการนั้นแล้ว

- [I] The holderof a bill of exchange may refuse to take a qualified acceptance, and if he does not obtain an unqualified acceptance may treat the bill as dishonoured by non-acceptance.
- [II] Where a qualified acceptance is taken, and the drawer or an indorser has not expressly or impliedly authorized the holder to take a qualified acceptance, or does not subsequently assent thereto, such drawer or indorser is discharged from his liability on the bill. These provisions do not apply to a partical acceptance, whereof due notice has been given.
- [III] Where the drawer or indorser of a bill receives notice of a qualified acceptance, and does not within a reasonable time express his dissent to the holder he shall be deemed to have assented thereto.
