มาตรา 980

• ภายในบังคับแห่งบทบัญญัติทั้งหลายซึ่งกล่าวมาก่อนนั้น ถ้าคู่ฉีกฉบับใดแห่งตั๋วเงินออกเปนสำรับ ได้หลุดพ้นไปด้วยการใช้เงินฤๅประการอื่นฉบับหนึ่งแล้ว ท่านว่าตั๋วเงินทั้งสำรับก็ย่อมหลุดพ้นไปตามกัน

• Subject to the foregoing provisions, where any one duplicate of a bill drawn in a set is discharged by payment or otherwise, the whole bill is discharged.
