มาตรา 991
- ธนาคารจำต้องใช้เงินตามเช็คซึ่งผู้เคยค้ากับธนาคารได้ออกเบิกเงินแก่ตน เว้นแต่ในกรณีดังกล่าวต่อไปนี้ คือ
- (๑) ไม่มีเงินในบัญชีของผู้เคยค้าคนนั้นเปนเจ้าหนี้พอจะจ่ายตามเช็คนั้น ฤๅ
- (๒) เช็คนั้นยื่นเพื่อให้ใช้เงินเมื่อพ้นเวลาหกเดือนนับแต่วันออกเช็ค

- A banker is bound to pay a cheque drawn on him by his customer unless:
- (1) There is not enough money to the credit of the account of the customer to meet the cheque, or
- (2) The cheque is presented for payment later than six months after the date of drawing.
