มาตรา 862
- ตามข้อความในลักษณะนี้
- คำว่า "ผู้รับประกันภัย" ท่านหมายความว่า คู่สัญญาฝ่ายซึ่งตกลงจะใช้ค่าสินไหมทดแทน ฤๅใช้เงินจำนวนหนึ่งให้
- คำว่า "ผู้เอาประกันภัย" ท่านหมายความว่า คู่สัญญาฝ่ายซึ่งตกลงจะส่งเบี้ยประกันภัย
- คำว่า "ผู้รับประโยชน์" ท่านหมายความว่า บุคคลผู้จะพึงได้รับค่าสินไหมทดแทน ฤๅรับจำนวนเงินใช้ให้
- อนึ่งผู้เอาประกันภัยและผู้รับประโยชน์นั้น จะเปนบุคคลคนหนึ่งคนเดียวกันก็ได้

- [I] In the present Title :
- "insurer" means the party who agrees to make compensation or to pay a sum of money;
- "assured" means the party who agrees to pay the premium;
- "beneficiary" means the person who is to receive compensation or to be paid a sum of money.
- [II] The assured and the beneficiary may be one and the same person.
