มาตรา 846

• ตัวนายหน้าไม่ต้องรับผิดไปถึงการชำระหนี้ตามสัญญาซึ่งได้เข้ากระทำกันเพราะตนเปนสื่อ
• แต่ถ้านายหน้าไม่ได้บอกชื่อของฝ่ายหนึ่งให้รู้ถึงอีกฝ่ายหนึ่งไซร้ ท่านว่าตัวนายหน้าต้องรับผิดเพื่อการชำระหนี้แก่ฝ่ายหล้งนั้น

• [I] A broker is not personally liable for the performance of the contracts entered into through his medation.
• [II] If the broker has not communicated the name of a party to the other party, he is personally liable to the latter for performance.
