มาตรา 983
- ตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงิน?ย่อมมีรายการดังจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้ คือ
- (๑) คำแถลงว่าเปน "ตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงิน"
- (๒) คำมั่นสัญญาอันปราศจากเงื่อนไขว่าจะใช้เงินเปนจำนวนแน่นอน
- (๓) วันตั๋วนั้นถึงกำหนดใช้เงิน
- (๔) สถานที่ใช้เงิน
- (๕) ชื่อฤๅยี่ห้อของผู้รับเงิน
- (๖) วันและสถานที่ออกตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงินนั้น
- (๗) ลายมือชื่อผู้ออกตั๋ว

- A promissory note contains:
- (1) A statement that it as a promissory note;
- (2) An unconditional promise to pay a sum certain in money;
- (3) A day of maturity;
- (4) A statement of the place where payment is to be made;
- (5) The name or trade name of the payee;
- (6) A statement of the date and place where the promissory note is made;
- (7) The signature of the maker.
