มาตรา 874
- ผู้รับประกันภัย หาอาจจะเรียกลดจำนวนค่าสินไหมทดแทนอันตนจะต้องใช้นั้นได้ไม่ เว้นแต่จะพิสูจน์ได้ว่ามูลประกันภัยตามที่คู่สัญญาได้ตกลงกันไว้นั้นเปนจำนวนสูงเกินไปหนัก และคืนจำนวนเบี้ยประกันกับทั้งดอกเบี้ยให้บ้างบางส่วน
Section 874. (Final Draft of Dec. 1924 in English from Vol.88)
- The insurer cannot claim a reduction of the amount of the compensation to be paid by him, unless he proves that the insurable interest as agreed by the parties was substantially too high, and returns a proportionate amount of the premiums with interest.
