มาตรา 891
- ถ้าผู้เอาประกันภัยมิได้เปนผู้รับประโยชน์เองด้วยไซร้ ผู้เอาประกันภัยย่อมมีสิทธิที่จะโอนประโยชน์แห่งสัญญานั้นให้แก่บุคคลอีกคนหนึ่งได้ เว้นแต่จะได้ส่งมอบกรมธรรม์ประกันภัยให้แก่ผู้รับประโยชน์ไปแล้ว และผู้รับประโยชน์ได้บอกกล่าวเปนหนังสือไปยังผู้รับประกันภัยแล้ว ว่าตนจำนงจะถือเอาประโยชน์แห่งสัญญานั้น

- If the assured is not the beneficiary, he has the right to transfer the benefit of the contract to any other person unless he has delivered the policy to the beneficiary and the beneficiary has notified in writing the insurer his intention to take the benefit of the contract.
