มาตรา 965
- ในกรณีตั๋วเงินภายในประเทศ ถ้าผู้จ่ายบันทึกลงไว้ในตั๋วแลกเงินเปนข้อความบอกปัดไม่รับรองฤๅไม่ยอมใช้เงิน ทั้งลงวันที่บอกปัด ลงลายมือชื่อไว้ด้วยแล้วท่านว่าคำคัดค้านนั้นก็เปนอันไม่จำเปนต้องทำ และผู้ทรงต้องส่งคำบอกกล่าวขาดความเชื่อถือไปยังบุคคลซึ่งตนจำนงจะไล่เบี้ยภายในสี่วันต่อจากวันเขาบอกปัดไม่รับรองนั้น

- In case of inland bills, if the drawee notes on the bill of exchange the fact and date of refusal of acceptance or payment and signs such note, no protest is necessary and the holder must, within four days following the date of refusal send notice of dishonour to the person or persons against whom he intends to take recourse.
