มาตรา 236
- จำเลยมีข้อต่อสู้ลูกหนี้เดิมอยู่อย่างใดๆ ท่านว่าจะยกขึ้นต่อสู้เจ้าหนี้ได้ทั้งนั้น เว้นแต่ข้อต่อสู้ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นเมื่อยื่นฟ้องแล้ว

- The defendant may set up against the creditor all defences which he may have against the debtor, excepting those which arose after the entry of the action.
