- อันว่าฝากทรัพย์นั้น คือสัญญาซึ่งบุคคลคนหนึ่ง เรียกว่าผู้ฝาก ส่งมอบทรัพย์สินให้แก่บุคคลอีกคนหนึ่ง เรียกว่าผู้รับฝาก โดยเงือนไขว่าผู้รับฝากจะพึ่งเก็บรักษาทรัพย์สินนั้นไว้ในอารักขาแห่งตน แล้วจะคืนให้

- A deposit is a contract whereby a person, called the depositor, delivers a property to another person, called the depositary, on the condition that the depositary shall keep it in his custody and return it.
