มาตรา 919
- คำสลักหลังนั้นต้องเขียนลงในตั๋วแลกเงินฤๅใบประจำต่อ และต้องลงลายมือชื่อผู้สลักหลัง
- การสลักหลังย่อมสมบูรณ์ แม้ทั้งมิได้ระบุชื่อผู้รับประโยชน์ไว้ด้วย ฤๅแม้ผู้สลักหลังจะมิได้กระทำอะไรยิ่งไปกว่าลงลายมือชื่อของตนที่ด้านหลังตั๋วแลกเงินฤๅที่ใบประจำต่อ ก็ย่อมฟังเปนสมบูรณ์ดุจกัน การสลักหลังเช่นนี้ท่านเรียกว่า "สลักหลังลอย"

- [I] An indorsement must be written on the bill of exchange, or on an allonge. It must be signed by the indorser.
- [II] An indorsement is valid even though the beneficiary is not specified, or the indorser has done nothing more than put his signature on the back of the bill or allonge in which case it is called "indorsement in blank".
