มาตรา 926
- เมื่อใดความที่สลักหลังมีข้อกำหนดว่า"ราคาเปนประกัน" ก็ดี "ราคาเปนจำนำ" ก็ดี ฤๅข้อกำหนดอย่างอื่นใดอันเปนปริยายว่าจำนำไซร้ ท่านว่าผู้ทรงตั๋วแลกเงินจะใช้สิทธิทั้งปวงอันเกิดแต่ตั๋วนั้นก็ย่อมได้ทั้งสิ้น แต่ถ้าผู้ทรงสลักหลังตั๋วนั้น ท่านว่าการสลักหลังย่อมใช้ได้เพียงในฐานเปนคำสลักหลังของตัวแทน
- คู่สัญญาทั้งหลายซึ่งต้องรับผิด หาอาจจะต่อสู้ผู้ทรงด้วยข้อต่อสู้อันอาศัยความเกี่ยวพันเฉภาะบุคคลระหว่างตนกับผู้สลักหลังนั้นได้ไม่ เว้นแต่การสลักหลังจะได้มีขึ้นด้วยคบคิดกันฉ้อฉล

- [I] When an indorsement contains the stipulation "value in security". "value in pledge" or any other stipulation implying a pledge, the holder may exercise all the rights flowing from the bill of exchange, but an indorsement by him only avails as an agency indorsement.
- [II] The parties liable cannot set up against the holder defences founded on their personal relations with the indorser, unless the indorsement has taken place in pursuance of a fraudulent understanding.
