มาตรา 607
- ผู้รับจ้างจะเอาการที่รับจ้างทั้งหมด ฤๅแบ่งการแต่บางส่วนไปให้ผู้รับจ้างช่วงทำอีกทอดหนึ่งก็ได้ เว้นแต่สาระสำคัญแห่งสัญญานั้นจะอยู่ที่ความรู้ความสามารถของตัวผู้รับจ้าง แต่ผู้รับจ้างคงต้องรับผิดเพื่อความประพฤติฤๅความผิดอย่างใดๆ ของผู้รับจ้างช่วง

- The contractor may have the whole or part of the work done by subcontractors unless his personal qualification is of the essence of the contract, but he remains liable for any act or fault of such subcontractors.
