มาตรา 656
- ถ้าทำสัญญากู้ยืมเงินกัน และผู้กู้ยืมยอมรับเอาสิ่งของฤๅทรัพย์สินส่งอื่นแทนจำนวนเงินนั้นไซร้ ท่านให้คิดเปนหนี้เงินค้างชำระโดยจำนวนเท่ากับราคาท้องตลาดแห่งสิ่งของฤๅทรับย์สินนั้นในเวลาและ ณ สถาที่ส่งมอบ
- ความทกลงกันอย่างใดๆ ขัดกับข้อความดังกล่าวมานี้ ท่านว่าเปนโมฆะ

- [I] If a loan is made for a sum of money, and the borrower accepts goods or other property instead of such sum, the amount of the debt due shall be considered as equal to the market value of the goods or property at the time and place of delivery.
- [II] Any agreement to the contrary is void.
