มาตรา 45
- ถ้าบุคคลธรรมดามีถิ่นที่อยู่หลายแห่งซึ่งอยู่สับเปลี่ยนกันไปก็ดี หรือมีหลักแหล่งที่ทำการเป็นปกติต่างแห่งหลายแห่งก็ดี ท่านให้ถือเอาแห่งใดแห่งหนึ่งดั่งกล่าวมาก่อนและหลังนั้นว่าเป็นภูมิลำเนาของบุคคลนั้น

- Civil Code of Brazil (1916), Art.32:
- If, however, a natural person has several residences where he lives alternately, or various centers of habitual occupations, either one of the former or latter shall be considered his domicile.

- The residence of a person is the place in which he sojourns with the intention of a continuing stay. No one can have a residence in several places at one time. The business visit is not contemplated by this provision.
