- ถ้าโดยเหตุผิดนัด การชำระหนี้กลายเป็นอันไร้ประโยชน์แก่เจ้าหนี้ เจ้าหนี้จะบอกปัดไม่รับชำระหนี้ และจะเรียกเอาค่าสินไหมทดแทนเพื่อการไม่ชำระหนี้ก็ได้
