มาตรา 442
- ถ้าความเสียหายได้เกิดขึ้นเพราะความผิดอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดของผู้ต้องเสียหายประกอบด้วยไซร้ ท่านให้นำบทบัญญัติแห่งมาตรา ๒๒๓ มาใช้บังคับ โดยอนุโลม

- If any fault of the injured party has contributed in causing the injury, the provisions of Section 223 shall apply mutatis mutandis.

The most plausible model for this section would be:
- German Civil Code (1896), Sec.846;
- If, in the cases provided for by 844, 845, some fault of the injured party has contributed in causing the damage which the third party has sustained, the provisions of 254 apply to the claim of the third party.
