มาตรา 514
- ผู้สู้ราคาย่อมพ้นความผูกพันในราคาซึ่งตนสู้แต่ขณะเมื่อผู้อื่นสู้ราคาสูงขึ้นไป ไม่ว่าการที่ผู้อื่นสู้นั้นจะสมบูรณ์ฤๅมิสมบูรณ์ประการใด อีกประการหนึ่งเมื่อใดถอนทรัพย์สินรายนั้นจากการทอดตลาดผู้สู้ราคาก็พ้นความผูกพันแต่ขณะที่ถอนนั้นดุจกัน

- A bidder ceases to be bound by his bid as soon as a higher bid is made, whatever be the validity of such higher bid, or as soon as the lot is withdrawn from the auction.
