มาตรา 566
- ถ้ากำหนดเวลาเช่าไม่ปรากฏในความที่ตกลงกัน ฤๅไม่พึงสันนิษฐานได้ไซร้ ท่านว่าคู่สัญญาฝ่ายใดจะบอกเลิกสัญญาเช่าในขณะเมื่อสุดระยะเวลาอันเปนกำหนดชำระค่าเช่าก็ได้ทุกระยะ แต่ต้องบอกกล่าวแก่อีกฝ่ายหนึ่งให้รู้ตัวก่อนชั่วกำหนดเวลาชำระค่าเช่าระยะหนึ่งเปนอย่างน้อย แต่ไม่จำต้องบอกกล่าวล่วงน่ากว่าสองเดือน

- If no period is agreed upon or presumed, either party may determine the contract of hire at the end of each period for the payment of rent, provided that notice of at least one rent period is given. But no more than two months notice need be given.
