มาตรา 780
- เมื่อใดผู้ฝากสลักหลังประทวนสินค้าให้แก่ผู้รับจำนำ คู่สัญญาต้องจดแจ้งการที่สลักหลังนั้นลงไว้ในใบรับของคลังสินค้าด้วย
- ถ้ามิได้จดแจ้งไว้ดั่งนั้น ท่านว่าการจำนำนั้นหาอาจยกขึ้นเปนข้อต่อสู้ผู้ซื้อสินค้าสืบไปนั้นได้ไม่

- [I] When the depositor indorses the warrant to a pledgee, the parties must mention such indorsement upon the warehouse receipt.
- [II] If such mention is not made, the pledge cannot be set up against a further buyer of the goods.
