มาตรา 796
- ถ้าเอกสารมีทั้งใบรับของคลังสินค้าและประทวนสินค้า ฤๅแต่อย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดสูญหายไป เมื่อผู้ทรงเอกสารนั้น ๆ ให้ประกันตามสมควรแล้ว จะให้นายคลังสินค้าออกให้ใหม่ก็ได้
- ในกรณีเช่นนี้นายคลังสินค้าต้องจดหมายลงไว้ในต้นขั้วเปนสำคัญ

- [I] If the documents including the warehouse receipt and the warrant, or one of them, have been lost, the holder on giving proper security may require the warehouseman to deliver him a new title.
- [II] In such case the warehouseman must enter the fact in the counterfoil.
