มาตรา 955
- ถ้าตั๋วแลกเงินได้รับรองเพื่อแก้หน้าแล้วก็ดี ฤๅได้มีตัวบุคคลระบุว่าเปนผู้จะใช้เงินยามประสงค์แล้วก็ดี ผู้ทรงต้องยื่นตั๋วเงินนั้นต่อบุคคลนั้น ๆ ณ สถานที่ใช้เงิน และถ้าจำเปนก็ ต้องจัดการทำคำคัดค้านการไม่ใช้เงิน อย่างช้าที่สุดในวันรุ่งขึ้นแต่วันท้ายแห่งกำหนดเวลาอันจำกัดไว้เพื่อทำคำคัดค้าน
- ถ้าไม่คัดค้านภายในกำหนดเวลานั้น ท่านว่าคู่สัญญาฝ่ายที่ได้ระบุตัวผู้ใช้เงินยามประสงค์ ฤๅคู่สัญญาฝ่ายซึ่งได้มีผู้รับรองตั๋วเงินให้แล้วนั้น กับทั้งบรรดาผู้สลักหลังในภายหลังย่อมเปนอันหลุดพ้นจากความรับผิด

- [I] If a bill of exchange has been accepted for honour, or if persons have been specified to pay it in case of need, the holder must at the place of payment present the bill to all these persons, and, if need be, cause a protest on the day following the last day for drawing up the protest.
- [II] In default of protest within this limit of time, the party who has indicated the case of need, or for whose account the bill has been accepted, and the subsequent indorsers are discharged.
