ผู้ออกตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงินย่อมต้องผูกพันเปนอย่างเดียวกันกับผู้รับรองตั๋วแลกเงิน
ตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงินซึ่งให้ใช้เงินในเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่งภายหลังได้เห็นนั้น ต้องนำยื่นให้ผู้ออกตั๋วจดรับรู้ภายในจำกัดเวลาดังกำหนดไว้ในมาตรา ๙๒๘ กำหนดเวลานี้ให้นับแต่วันจดรับรู้ซึ่งลงลายมือชื่อผู้ออกตั๋ว ถ้าผู้ออกตั๋วบอกปัดไม่ยอมจดรับรู้และลงวันไซร้ การที่เขาบอกปัดเช่นนี้ ท่านว่าต้องทำให้เปนหลักฐานขึ้นด้วยคำคัดค้าน และวันคัดค้านนั้น ให้ถือเปนวันเริ่มต้นในการนับกำหนดเวลาแต่ได้เห็น

[I] The maker of a promissory note is bound in the same manner as an acceptor of a bill of exchange.
[II] Promissory notes payable at a certain time after sight must be presented for the visa of the maker within the limits of time fixed by Section 928. The limit of time runs from the date of the visa, signed by the maker of the note. The refusal of the maker to give his visa with the date thereon, must be authenticated by a protest the date of which gives the point of departure for the limit of time from sight.
