มาตรา 1010
- เมื่อผู้ทรงตั๋วเงินซึ่งหายฤๅถูกลัก ทราบเหตุแล้วในทันใดนั้น ต้องบอกกล่าวเปนหนังสือไปยังผู้ออกตั๋วเงิน ผู้จ่าย ผู้สมอ้างยามประสงค์ ผู้รับรองเพื่อแก้หน้า และผู้รับอาวัลตามแต่มี เพื่อให้บอกปัดไม่ใช้เงินตามตั๋วเงินนั้น

- The holder of a bill which is lost or stolen must, as soon as he knows of the loss or theft, notify in writing the maker, the drawee, the referee in case of need, the acceptor for honour and the giver of aval, if any, to refuse payment of the bill.
