มาตรา 531

• อันผู้ให้จะเรียกถอนคืนการให้เพราะเหตุผู้รับประพฤติเนรคุณนั้น ท่านว่าอาจจะเรียกได้แต่เพียงในกรณีดังจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้
  • (๑) ถ้าผู้รับได้ประทุษร้ายต่อผู้ให้เปนความผิดฐานอาญาอย่างร้ายแรงตามประมวลกฎหมายลักษณอาญา ฤๅ
  • (๒) ถ้าผู้รับได้ทำให้ผู้ให้เสียชื่อเสียง ฤๅหมิ่นประมาทผู้ให้อย่างร้ายแรง ฤๅ
  • (๓) ถ้าผู้รับได้บอกปัดไม่ยอมให้สิ่งของจำเปนเลี้ยงชีวิตแก่ผู้ให้ในเวลาที่ผู้ให้ยากไร้และผู้รับยังสามารถจะให้ได้

• The donor can claim revocation of a gift for an act of ingratitude only in the following cases :
  • (1) If the donee committed a serious criminal offence punishable under the Penal Code against the donor, or
  • (2) If the donee seriously defamed or insulted the donor, or
  • (3) If the donee refused the donor who is in need the necessaries of life while he was able to supply them.
