มาตรา 746
- การชำระหนี้ไม่ว่าครั้งใด ๆ สิ้นเชิงหรือแต่บางส่วนก็ดี การระงับหนี้อย่างใด ๆ ก็ดี การตกลงกันแก้ไขเปลี่ยนแปลงจำนอง หรือหนี้อันจำนองเป็นประกันนั้นเป็นประการใดก็ดี ท่านว่าต้องนำความไปจดทะเบียนต่อพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ ในเมื่อมีคำขอร้องของผู้มีส่วนได้เสีย มิฉะนั้นท่านห้ามมิให้ยกขึ้นเป็นข้อต่อสู้บุคคลภายนอก

- Any performance, either wholly or partly, or any extinction, or any agreement modifying the mortgage or the obligation secured, must be registered by the competent official on the request of the interested party, failing which it cannot be set up against a third person.
