มาตรา 496
- ถ้าในสัญญามีกำหนดเวลาไถ่ต่ำกว่าสิบปี ฤๅต่ำกว่าปีหนึ่งตามประเภททรัพย์ ท่านว่าหาอาจจะขยายเวลานั้นในภายหลังได้ไม่

- If a shorter period than ten years or one year is provided in the contract, the time cannot be afterwards extended.
