มาตรา 583
- ถ้าลูกจ้างจงใจขัดคำสั่งของนายจ้างอันชอบด้วยกฎหมายก็ดี หรือละเลยไม่นำพาคำสั่งเช่นนั้นเป็นอาจิณก็ดี ละทิ้งการงานไปเสียก็ดี กระทำความผิดอย่างร้ายแรงก็ดี หรือทำประการอื่นอันไม่สมแก่การปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของตนให้ลุล่วงไปโดยถูกต้องและสุจริตก็ดี ท่านว่านายจ้างจะไล่ออกโดยมิพักต้องบอกกล่าวล่วงหน้าหรือให้สินไหมทดแทนก็ได้

- If the employee wilfully disobeys or habitually neglects the lawful commands of his employer, absents himself from service, is guilty of gross misconduct, or otherwise acts in a manner incompatible with the due and faithful discharge of his duty, he may be dismissed by the employer without notice or compensation.
