อันอสังหาริมทรัพย์นั้นอาจจำนองได้ ไม่ว่าประเภทใด ๆ
สังหาริมทรัพย์อันจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้ก็อาจจำนองได้ดุจกัน หากว่าได้จดทะเบียนไว้แล้วตามกฎหมาย คือ
(๑) เรือกำปั้น หรือเรือมีระวางตั้งแต่หกตันขึ้นไป เรือกลไฟ หรือเรือยนต์มีระวางตั้งแต่ห้าตันขึ้นไป
(๒) แพ
(๓) สัตว์พาหนะ
(๔) สังหาริมทรัพย์อื่นใด ๆ ซึ่งกฎหมายหากบัญญัติไว้ให้จดทะเบียนเฉภาะการ

Section 703. (Draft in English from Vol.93)

[I] Immovables of any kind can be mortgaged.
[II] The following movables can also be mortgaged provided they are registered according to law:
(1)* Ships or vessels of six tons and over, steam launches or motor boats of five tons and over.
(2) Floating houses.
(3) Beasts of burden.
(4) Any other movables with regard to which the law may provide registration for that purpose.
