มาตรา 530
- ถ้าการให้นั้นมีค่าภารติดพัน ท่านว่าผู้ให้จะต้องรับผิดเพื่อความชำรุดบกพร่องหรือเพื่อการรอนสิทธิเช่นเดียวกันกับผู้ขาย แต่ท่านจำกัดไว้ว่าไม่เกินจำนวนค่าภารติดพัน

- If the gift is encumbered with a charge, the donor is liable for defect or eviction in the same manner as a seller but only to the extent of the charge.

The most plausible model for this section would be:
- Japanese Civil Code (1896, 98); Art. 551;
- [I] The donor is not responsible for any defect or want of the thing or right which is the subject of the gift, except when the donor knew of the defect or want and did not inform the donee thereof.
- [II] With regard to a gift subject to charge, the donor bears the same duty of warranty as a seller so far as the charge is concerned .
